The mission of the organization is to provide free health care services, education & training, income generation opportunities, environmental care and other project activities. Relief, rehabilitation and development of the underprivileged is carried out. Through this process, illiteracy is being eradicated and unemployment is reducing in the region as well as better health care to the poor and underprivileged are made made available. The mission of the organization also extends to making the destitutes social agents themselves and make them contribute to the society at large too. Senior destitute children at DKCCDC are teaching mathematics, english and other subjects to destitute children in their neighborhood and gradually eradicating illiteracy as well as building confidence and improving self esteem of the destitute children. This is also creating social capital through building cooperation and trust within the members of the communities . This is a very successful innovation by Dr.Choudhury.

Staff working in the organization including doctors, teachers, trainers and other administrative staff is about 50 in number and all are professionally qualified and they are all paid staff. All expenses in running the organization is borne by Dr.Choudhury without any outside help whatsoever. There are no volunteers working in the organization.

The Health Care Center is named after his Father and is called: Kalika Prasanna Seba Niketan
The school and Training Center is named after his mother and called: Purnima Knowledge Center
He works alone at a very grass root level directly with the needy underprivileged people who lack basic health care, education and do not have jobs.
The majority of his work is through his registered organization Deb Kalika Choudhury Charity & Development Center(DKCCDC), located in Bolpur, in the State of West Bengal in India which he set up in the Year 2000.
The success of the organization in making a positive difference to the poor and the marginalized section of the society and upgrade their lives, has proved that a single person can make a positive impact to the society and be a change agent and help in building the nation.In fact Dr. Choudhury is fulfilling all the basic human needs for the poor within his capacity such as: Hunger/ Food, Clothing, Shelter/Housing, Education, Health,, Income. generation, Environment and other sustainability works.
