Dr.Deb Prasanna Choudhury is the Founder, President, Director and Financier of Deb Kalika Choudhury Charity & Development Center which was established in the Year, 2000. The mission of the organization is to provide free health care services, education & training, income generation opportunities, environmental care and other project activities.
Staff working in the organization including doctors, teachers, trainers and other administrative staff is about 50 in number and all are professionally qualified and they are all paid staff. All expenses in running the organization is borne by Dr.Choudhury.There are no volunteers working in the organization.in the organization.
Dr.Choudhury is always looking for innovative ways to serve the underprivileged. He has introduced the technique of cooperative and group learning which is helping destitute children to learn faster.He has also introduced the concept of serving destitues by destitues to improve the sense of well being. Therefore, the destitute children in his organization are now teaching lower level kids in their neighborhood about mathematics, language and other subjects as well keeping their neighborhood clean by planting trees and cleaning scools. Through this process social intelligence and social capital is being built. This has enabled the children to serve the society at an early stage and be social agents themselves and building a base for a better society. This has also improved the self worth and image of the children.

The following vocational training courses are offered:
i) Tailoring for women ii) Electrician Training courses iii) Computer Diploma courses on DTP, Hardware and Networking, Financial Accounting iv) Spoken English and Secretarial v) Dance and Vocal music vi) Combined Coaching for employment examination vii) Women’s development vii) Diploma in Nursing.
Approximately 500 students are studying in the school and training center.
